Liberal Candian Columnist Insults McCain & Palin

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

If the selection of Sarah Palin sent the American left around the bend, the effect seems to have been even stronger on the Canadian left. Columnist and author Heather Mallick, a regular contributor to the notoriously liberal Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, writes that Palin “added nothing to the ticket that the Republicans didn’t already have sewn up, the white trash vote, the demographic that sullies America’s name inside and outside its borders yet has such a curious appeal for the right.”

In an earlier column Mallick referred to McCain as a “tiny old hateful man” who “named the political equivalent of his local school crossing guard as his vice presidential candidate.”

  1. It’s interesting to read what the world is really saying about us. Whether or not Mallick used the best choice of words is irrelevant. Americans who don’t travel ought to pay attention.

  2. The world out side of America would universally like a weaker America. We are the only SuperPower and we have one of the highest standards of living as well as the most powerful military.

You can look our relationship to the world as being comparable to how Liberals view successful people in America. Other countries want to level the playing field by having leadership in Washington that will take their cues from outside the USA (primarily Europe and Canada).

All these countries that are telling us whom we should select as President – would like nothing better than the marginalization and eventual downfall of America.

That’s why Terrorist groups are endorsing Barrack Obama. Don’t expect the MSM to report that though. You’ll have to do that research on your own.
